VOLUNTEER NOTES

No- 2 Battalion

At 6.30 yesterday evening the No. 2 Battalion paraded under the command of Lioutonant-Coloiiel Dignan. Tho various companies fell in at tho Drill-shed,and wero put through a number of movements. The Battalion then marched to Princess-street, whore tho officer commanding inspected the accoutrements and drilled the men.

No. 3 Battalion. This Battalion also paraded at G. 30 o'clock, under the command of Lieut.-Col. Mahon. There was a good muster of tho three companies which ab present compose this Battalion. The men wero put through a variety of evolutions on the ground ab the rear of the Drill-shed. The I&istrict KeltOwing to tho arrangements not being completCjthe firing for Captain Clark's bolt will not eventuate on Saturday next. Tho date of tiring will be duly notified by advertisement.
