THE ADMIRAL'S VISIT.
His Stay in Auckland

Wellington, this day. The Governor has been advised that Admiral Fairfax will arrive in the colony about the middle of December in H.M.S. Nelson, and will remain in Auckland two or three months, occupying the Government House.
A general.meeting of the members of the City Rowing Club" will be held in the V.M.C. A. Rooms this evening, afc 8 o'clock, when the election of captain, vice-captain, and other business will be dealt with.
Air Brassey desires us to publish the amounts of subscriptions received and paid by him to Mr Wm. Redgate, and the names of subscribers, as follows :—McArthur and Co., £2 2s; Mr Clarridee, £1; Mr Whitaker, £1; Mr Short, £f. Mr Arthur, £1 Is; Mr Alexander, 10s ; Mr Porter, £1; Sargood, Ewen and Co., £1 Is ; T. and S. Morrin, £1 Is ; E. Waters, ss; S. Coombes, 10s 6d: Total, £10 10s 6d. Mr Brassey urfcher desires us to state that if there is any subscriber whose name has nofc been recorded upon the list he will be happy to hand the amount to Mr Redgate upon proof of any payment,
