CAPSIZE OF THE RECAMIA.

THE HULL AND SPARS FOUND

AH Hands Lost. -,

(FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENT.)

Helknsville, this day. All doubts as to the fate of tho ketch Recamia have at length been set at rest by the discovery of wreckage belonging to thatunfortunate vessel. Captain Fairchild, on being informed of the " supposed " casualty on arrival at the Kaipara from the Kermedecs, instituted a search for the missingketch in theCovernment steamer Stella. He found the hull of what was without doubt tho ketch Recamia capsized outside the Tory Channel, where it will be remembered she was last seen when entering the port on Wednesday last. Captain Fairchild made fast to the ketch, but was unable to tow her into port, and had to abandon the attempt. He secured' portions of her spars and other gear for identification, but saw no signs of her crew. There is little hope, therefore, but that Captain Hulse and his crew have found a watery grave. The Recamia was entering the Kaipara during the prevalance of very unfavourable weather, and was seen from the lighthouse to suddenly disappear. There was a heavy bar, and it is presumed that the ketch, a centreboard vessel and ballasted, was taken charge of by the rollers and overturned, giving those on board no chance of saving themselves.
