SUPPOSED SUICIDE.

Christchurch, Monday. The body of a man, apparently drowned, was found on the Waimakariri River bank, near the outfall of Stewart's Gully. The body is supposed to be that of Henry Finnis who suddenly left his home in Kaiapoi on May 21st last, and has not since been heard of. He was supposed to have committed suicide, from expressions he made uec of, and the police for some time after made a diligent search of the mer and bank 3, without avriL
