Henry Irving to Play for London's
Poor Children,
Henry Irving has hib on the happiest possible method of celebrating the- jubilee. On the forenoon of July 21st he .will bhrow open his theatre to as many children of the ragged people of London as can be squeezed irtto it, and he will perform for their benefit " The Merchant of Venice." The choice of the play is not bhe leasb happy part of bhe scheme. Bobh bhe plob and underplob of "Tho Merchanb of Venice" go straight home to the comprehension and sympathy of childhood.
