In the House of Commons to-day Sir Jaa. Fergusson, Under-Secretary for Foreigri i-ffairs, stated that the remonstrances of England on the, subjectgof the Hebrides has not so fax expedited the. negotiations, but he still hopes that the discussion would shortly be CQhO luded j and the withdrawal of * the French" from the' New Hebrides would be arranged.^ [.;3 V 7*. 7;
