FIRE AT ROTORUA.

Tauranga, this day Mr William Kelly's store and public hall atOhinemutu were destroyed by fire this morning. They were insured in the Union office for £ SOU. The origin of the fire is unknown, but an inquest will be held.
~.-,..--... . Rotorua, this day. , A destructive fire occurred at Rotorua last night, resulting: in the total destruction of. Mr \V. Kelly's house and attached store. The building Btood opposite the Palace Hotel. Fortunately there was. no wind, so it did not spread to other buildidgs. ; • - There was a dance at the hall last night, TOich ended about 11 o'clock. The fire was first noticed about 12.30 a.m. It had then' a good held, of the building. Nothin c was saved. .. °
The building was insured for LBOO, which Will nothing like cover Mr Kelly's loss. - An' unfortunate greyhound, which had accompanied its master to the dance, was locked up in the hall and was, burned to death. ....
It is "not known how the fire originated Wqone lived on the premisos. ■
