Messrs Hunter and Nolan's Report.— Grain seeds, horse feed, etc. : The supply has been adequate, and demand steady at the previous week's values. We quote : Feed oats, 2s 3d per bushel; Tartarian, 2s 8d ; barley, 3s 9d ; maize, 3s 8d ; bran, 4s 6d per 1001b ; sharps, 5s 6d; Oamaru potatoes, L 3 2s Gd per ton ; oaten chaff, L 3 10s to L 4 per ton. Horses : Rather a limited number have been brought forward ; purchasers were forthcoming, and most of the horses changed hands at fully the previous week's values. At the Durham Yards on Friday, those of a good stamp were but poorly represented, and scarcely an average number of other description were submitted and disposed of without change in value Wool, hides, 'skins: Above an average quantity have been pitched, and steady demand has existed, and there remained an unsatisfied demand for good heavy ox hides. We quote : Cow hides, 2gd to 3Jd ; medium ox, 3Jd ; heavy ox, 4d to 4|; calfskins, 3.|d to 4'd per lb ; sheepskins, 2s lOd to 3s 8d each ; wool in bags, 7d per lb. Cattlo : There has been an increased number of store and fat beasts brought forward, but dairy cows were short of requirements, There was an upward tendency in value for all descriptions. Tho Newmarket yards were fairly well filled on Tuesday, and there was spirited demand for all descriptions, and with the exception of store stocks, prices were in favour of the vendor as compared with the previous week. Sheep: The Newmarket pons were fairly idled on Tuesday, and there was spirited demand throughout the sale. Wethers sold at from lis 3d to 16s each ; ewes, lis to 13s. ' Pigs : Very few yarded.

Mr Alfred Buckland's Weekly Retort. —At the Haymarket, on Friday, June 24, fodder was in usual supply and brought from 2s 3d to 3s 3d the ewt; maize was lower in price and sold at 3s to 3s 3d ; oats at late values, 2s 2d to 2s 3d the bushel; carrots fell in price 10s tho ton, and with the large quantities offering, are likely to go lower yet; they were sold at 50s ; bran, L 4 10s ; pollard, L 5 5s ; chaff, L 4 the ton. Horse stock were in usual number. Active, medium draught brought from Lll to Ll4 10s; light-harness, L 5 to L 9 ; riding horses, from 40s and upwards. At" the hide and skin sale on Tuesday, a larger than usual supply was offered, prices were fully sustained. Good medium ox hides brought up to 4|d ; calfskins, 4Jd the lb ; damaged and dirty, 2£d to 3d ; bones, 4s 9d ; tallow, 13s the ewt. Skins are in better inquiry, full wooled station brought from 2s Cd to 3s lid each. At Pukekohe, on Monday last, dairy cows were yarded in full numbers, but prices were lower than on previous month. Store cattle at late values, and a few fat cattle sold well. At Papakura, on Wednesday, there was the usual muster of cattle, which were well competed for and satisfactory prices obtained for them. At Rcmuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were numerous, but at lower prices, and unless of good quality were of no better value than ordinary store cattle. Store cattle were in steady demand at late values. Fat cattl- were in usual number, but generally of heavier weight than usual, and were at lower values. Moderate and light weights sold relatively at higher prices, which ranged from 15s to 18s the 1001b. Sheep were in full number, and at last week's value 3. Pigs also kept their pi ice. Calves plentiful, but were required, and sold satisfactorily.

Messrs G. W. Binney and Sox's Report. —Hides : At our sales on Friday and 'f ties-Lay last, prime heavy ox were in brisk detu.'-.'io, from 4Jd to 4yd, 30s to 34s eacli ; heavy, 4£d, 22s to 265. each; medium weights, about.s6lb, 3Jd to 3_d ; heavy cow hides, 3|d to 3_d; medium weights, 2Jd to 3d ; light cow" and kips, 3d to 3_d ; calfskins in strong demand from to yd for prime; average quality, 3Jd; stag hides, ljd'to 2d, 7s to 13s each ; damaged and cut, at nominal prices only. Sheepskins : Sold local butchers', delivered at their yards, 4s to 4s 6d each ; country skins are in short supply, and realise full rates ; best salted, 3s to 3s Cd ; dry, 2s Cd to 3s ; station, dry, Is to 2s Bd. Tallow, 10s to 13s per ewt; rough fat, Id per lb ; bones, 5s per ewt; shanks, 6s to 7s per ewt; wool, 6d to C.d per lb.
