Painful Accident.

Thames, this day. aruamn. accident happened to Mr Thes. Black, late manager of the Paroquet.claim, Waioino. During the last passage of the Rbtoraahana from Auckland to the Thames he was standing on the bridge near the galley, and when turning around made a false step and fell head foremost on to the main deck. He sustained some nasty cuts and bruises cm the face, which were dressed a/i the hospital. Licensing Appeal W '&& William Burton, of *the Junction P ji.oi, has definitely decided, after obtaining one best legal advice in Auckland, to take I proceedings in the Supreme Court in connection with .the refusal of the renewal of i;his license by the Central Licensing Committee at their recent meeting.
