AN ABORTIVE MEETING.
(BY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.)
Wellington, this day.
The annual meeting of Wellington Woollen Company was called for last night, but had to be postponed because fourteen days clear notice had not been given. The Company's solicitor said that neither the day of sendino- the notice nor of the meeting could be included in' the fourteen ; this was a most important poinb. Some shareholders grumbled at having come a long distance .for nothing, and asked who was to pay the cost they had incurred. The Chairman said he would pay for it himself.
