THE JANET NICOLL.
Tho s.s. Jnncb Nicoll arrived from tho South Sea Islands last evening and berthed ab tho Railway Wharf. Captain Hufcton reports'of the round trip as follows : —Left Auckland ab 9.30 p.m. on the 21 sb May, and commenced her voyage with exceptionally bad weather, which lasted for the first twenty-four hours, thence for the balance of the trip beautifully line weather prevailed. Tonga was reached on tho '27th, at 12.30 p.m., and next day at 2 p.m. tho steamer started for Samoa, where she arrived on the iilst, ab (i a. in. ; left there again on tho Ist inst. ab 2.30 p.m., for Papeete, where she arrived on the Sfch, at C a.m. From there, steamed round to Tautiri and Pupairio on tho 11th, and after taking in a cargo of oranges, etc., the steamer loft again on tho 15th for Rniatwi, which place was reached ab 7 a.m. on the Kith. Ab .'{ p.m. on the same date the Janet Nicoll loft for Rarotongn, which Island was reached ab 10.30 a.m. o"n the 19th ; ab 3 p.m. that day she left again, homeward bound, and arrived hero as stated. Up to the 27th tho fino weather hold to the vessel, thence heavy S. \V. *rale. with hard squalls to arrival. Passengers: Messrs Armand, C. A, Edcnborough, , O. Latch more, J. liWler C. do Labroso.
