Cambria. ---lOlbs of specimens are to hand from No. 1 footwall leader, No. 3 level. Cambria.- The crushing is shaping pay ably at the battery. The crosscut at No 3 level is being pushed ahead, and it is expected that it will hole through to the winze sunk on No. 1 cross-leader in the course of a few days. Gold is seen pretty freely when breaking down the footwall leader. Taken altogether, it must be admitted that the prospects of this mine are improving. Golden Crown.—lt is the Intention of Mr Dunlop to break out trial parcels of quartz from Nos. 1 and 2 reefs, which will be treated carefully in order to ascertain exactly what grade quartz can be crushed remuneratively now that the Company possesses a battery of its own. ■ ■:.--. ' Saxon.—Although very little picked stone has been obtained during the last few days from the reef at No. 4 level, colours of gold are frequently seen. No gold has yeb been observed on the lode in the hillward drive ab No. 3 level, but the country is a nice favourable sandstone.
