A Cathedral Repaired.
The'fine lantern tower of Peterborough Cathedral, which has been rebuilding for more than four years, was last week. The splendid illuminated ceiling has been repaired, but the unique carving of the , fourteenth century has been carefully preserved in its original condition. The central crater of Mount iEtna has been erupting since May 31st. The flow is increasing in volume. Heavy clouds of smoke and masses of stones and cinders are issuing from the crater. Mr Bayley, Vice-Commodore of the Royal Albert Yacht Club, has been declared bankrupt His liabilities are 167,000 A dynamite bomb was exploded under the Police Court at Hepburn, Durham county, last night, partially destroying thebuilding. The outrage was attributed to strikers.
