THAMES NOTES.

Thames, this day. The adjourned meeting of the Hastings Licensing Committee was held yesterday afternoon, when applications for renewals were made by John Teddy, Haiu-aki Hotel, (Kirikiri); Hore Matene, Kirikiri Hotel; and E. Smith, Post Office Hotel (Nevesville). The whole of the applications were refused, the Committee being of opinion that the houses were not required. The Masonic Ball, in celebration of the Queen's Jubilee, took place in the Aciademy of Music last night, and passed of very successfully, although the weather was somewhat inclement.
