According to the .New York "Sun," the champion slogger, J. L. Sullivan,, will leave San Francisco for Australia on, October Ist. He must be hard up for something to do.

The Clyde-built yacht, Thistle, which is to represent Britain in the Inter-national race for the America's cup in October, was launched in April 26th,: and towed to Greenock to be rigged and fitted out. * Ned Tricketthas started, training once more. The five-mile race from Onehunga will come off next Tuesday, the first man smarting from the Post Ofljce,. Onehunga,, at 10 o'clock.
