Launch for Kohimarama.

(To the Editor.)

Sra, —My attention was drawn to a paragraph in your issue Of the, 13th inst. in which a philanthropic gentleman suggests the urgency of a Jubilee launch for RLohimarama. Now, sir, as the school is connected by a good road by which the master can (and frequently does) come in by horse and trap, they are not compelled to come by boat. With regard to a saving in the delivery of supplies, I happen to know that freßh supplies are delivered twice weekly, at a less cost to the country than could possibly be done with a launch of their own. Seeing that tho school is a charitable institution and reformatory, I think it a mistake to make it too attractive, and as retrenchment is the order of tho day I should advise the philanthropio gentleman to reserve his interests for some more urgent cauße, and can assure him there is no occasion to go as far as Kohimarama to look for one.—lam, sir, Brint.
