Gold mining at Waihi.
Paeboa, this day. The Hon. T. Russell, accompanied by Messrs B. Russell, Henry Russell, Thomas Morrin,and J. W. Walker, yesterday visited the principal mines at Waihi yesterday, and returned to Auckland, via Te Aroha, last night. The chief object of their visib was to examine the Union Mine, in which some of the party are interested, and which is to be floated on the London market very shortly. Mr E. K. Cooper, Waihi, has been authorised by Messrs Johnson, Matthews, and Co., London, to establish and re-purchase agency in tho Qbiuomuri district
