FIRE AT REMUERA.
Ox Saturday night, about seven o'clock, a fire broko out in a houee on ltomuor" Road near Uroon L^no, and speedily destroyed it. Tho houso is tho property of Mr VV. Eado, carrier, of Romuera, ond was loa«ed by Mr W. V. Murray, teacher of tho Tamaki school. It would appoar that Mr Murray had left tho houeo about mid-day Saturday, in company with his wife, and proceeded to Mount Albert to vipit porno friends. Ho states that tho houso was leckod up and (horo was no tiro burning. Mr Eado, who lives near, wan tho first to oofctvo tho lire, which had then a good hold on tho building. He, howovor, burst in ono of the doors nnd saved a fow articles of furniture Tho building was incured in tho South British for Cl5O and in tho New .Zealand for £250, while Mr Murray's furniture and effects were covered by a policy of £200 in the Globe ollico.
