Tim bowling match between the representative players of the Auckland and New Plymouth Bowling Clubs, which was com" tnouced yostorday afternoon on tho Auckland Bowling Green, resulted in a victory for tho visiting team by 9 points, this beiDg tho second doteat Auckland has sustained at the hands of tho metropolis of Tarauuki. Tho match was played in 31 heads, and at tho end of the first holf-bour tho score stood: Taranaki, 10; Auckland, 14. At. a quarter to four Taranaki was 23 ; Auckland, 32. At a quarter past four, Tarar.itl.i, 34 ; Auckland, 54. At five, Taranaki, 52 ; Auokland, 61. At half-past live, Taranaki, 74 ; Auckland, 72. For tho remainder of the term tho visitors steadily iucreased their lead, and the game onded : Taranaki, S8 ; Auckland, 79, Taranaki thus winniug by 9 points.
