Ilia Excolloncy tho Govornor is not likoly to return from the South until March. It is proposed that the mooting of tho Exocutivo to considor tho recommendation in tho Barrior murder cuso will therefore bo hold in Dunodin in tho course of a fow days.

Nothing of a definite nature has boon allowed to transpire as to tho details of thu retrenchment alluded to in tho I'remior's Duuodin spooch, but Sir Robert will bo prepared to placo full information before tho House whon it meets. Tho i'romier is unable to say nt present ,vhon ho will bo nblo to give his promised socond political address at Dunodin. Everything will dopend upon tho stato of departmental business.
