Takapuna Jockey Club Summer Meeting.

The above meeting on Saturday provided eomo interesting epo.rt, but the programme of events wna far too long, and with the scene that occurred over the starting in the last raoo of tho day (which is fully referred to in an article on cur second page), it wbb half-past 7 o'clock beforo the day's proceedings were brought toa termination. As usual, all of the officers of the Club did their utmost to onsure tho success of tho mooting, but; the bulk of the haul work fell on Mr It. H. AVynyard, Secretary, and Mr S. Vosper, Treasurer, and both of these gentlemen performed their duties iv tho most satisfactory manner. In the Hurdle Katie Kawenata brokodown very Imdly, and had to bo pulled up. Tho two leadors raced round t ho Hit for homo at a great pace, but at tho old fluughter-houseeiro, Quilp, when loading by a length, struck the hurdle, aid throw Hope, Mb rider.
