WAITEMATA ELECTION.
Notwithstanding the somewhat dampening effect of rainy and squally weather, the polling in tho Waitemata electorate this afternoon "went merrily on" at the various centres. Representatives of both candidates, Messrs Farnall and Monk, were hard at work " beatingup " tbo doubtful and tho indifferent, and each side appeared to havo great hopes of victory.
