Thb snuual meeting d£ the Auckland branch of the Federated Seamen's Unionwas held at Rob?on'B~Rooms on Navsmber 24. There was a good attendance of members, Mr Hnnnigan presiding. Officers for the ensuing year were elected aa follows • — President, Mr C. Hannigan ; vice-presi-dents, Messrs J. Nixon and A. C. Andoreon ; treasurer, Mr Owen Humphreys; secretary, Mr E. Ellison ; quartermaster, Mr O. Alson ; committee : Messrs William Agard, J. Smith, J. Lewis, and B. Cronin. A report from Mr Dodd r-e the Trades Congress in Adelaida and Conference in Sydney was held over for consideration at the next taaeting.
