Extraordinary Scene in a Church.
At Manchester (Eng ) Mies Fanny Vaudrey, v lady of independent moans, residing in Mnrshallplaco, Cheethuin Hill, was summonod for violent and indecent -conduct in tho Church of St. John tho Evangelist, Choothain. It was stated that the defendant went to tho church at tho beginning of tho service and walki.d up tho ni'lo in v very noisy manner, rustliugherdrossin a way that attracted much attention, Sho made !i groat noi^o with her umbrella, and from timo to timo during tho service tho rapped tho front of tho pew'very loudly with her book. Sho also coughed ih a peculiar manner. When tho curate was beginning to read tho first leason eho, looking towards tho clergyman, deliberately put her thumb to her noi^e and extended her fingers, doing what the prosecuting solicitor taid he boliovcd wn.B familiarly called "fulling bacon." She then turned round to a geutleman who wassitting behind her and again did the same thing, directing the action at him. Tho case was adjourned.
