Foresters' Court at Kihikihi.
A very interesting ceremony took place at the thriving little township of Kihikihi on Friday last, being that of opening a Court under the jurisdiction of the Ancient Order of Foresters', for which purpose the following members proceeded there :—D.C.R., Bro. W. VV. Lepino ; D.S., Bro. H. T. Garra^t; and D.8., Bro. Fitness, of the Auckland District ; Bro. J. Symes, C, R. ; Bro. C. Shepherd, S.C.R. ; and Bro. J. Fotheringham, secretary of Court City of Auckland. .Tho representatives were met at Te Awamutu by Bro. Clark, and conveyed in a drag to Kikikiki, and after having partaken of a slight repast, were shown over the' township. At eight o'clock, the time appointed for opening the new court, they proceeded to the hall, when Court City of Auckland was opened in due form, and eleven members initiated. The District Officers wore then introduced, end proceeded with the ceremony of formally opening the new court, which has been named Court Kihikihi, No. 6,948, and installed the following members as officers for the ensuing term :— Bro, J, Clark, C.R.; Bro. J. X, Anderson,
S C.R. ; Bro. W. McNaught, Treasurer_; Bro. K. Boyne, Secre ary ; Bro. J. Brian, S.W.; Bro. F. Moody, J.W.; Bro. E. Wilkinson, 5.8.; Bro. D. Boss, J.B. Several persona were proposed for membership, after which the court closed. The member* and visitors then proceeded to the Kibikihi .Jjiotel, where a sumptuous spread was laid out, Bro. Clark, C.R. of Court Kihikihi, being in the chair. After doing justice to the good things provided by Host Anderson, the following toastß were given and responded to:- "The Queen and Royal Family, '•The Auckland District, A.0.F.," "Court Kihikihi," "Visitors," etc During the evening songs, recitations, otc , were given by the members, and one of the boat and most enjoyable evenings ever spent in Kihikihi come to a concluaion about 1 o'clock.
