The Latest Parisian Mysteries.
The police of Paris are engaged in trying to discover the head of the woman fragments of which were found in different places at Montrouge. They are making a thorough search in every part of the suburb, but as yet have added little to what was previously known. The forefinger of the right hand shows that the murdered woman, although not a semptress, occasionally used her needle. The medical men, who have carefully examined the remains, fix_ the time when the crime was committed at two o'clock on a Tuesday. They say the body was cut up without any surgical instrument by a person unaccustomed to such work. It must have taken him five hour 3to perform the operation. It is_ impossible to say whether the murderer resided in tho suburb or camo thither frojft the interior of Paris. Ho seems, however, to have known tho district, and to have taken the fragments* of the body from the house within it to the various places where tbey were found. This he must have done with groat coolness and audacity. The remains were taken on Wednesday night to the Morgue, where they were frozen iv such a way that they will be perfectly preserved for three weeks. No missing woman has yet been heard of. In the Morgue there is also the corpse of tho little girl whose body was found in the Rue Vert Bois, and on whose supposed mruder ___, Clovis Hugues has written a most touching poem. The waiting crowds were Interminable from the timethe doors wereopened until they were closed. To prevent accidents the police on duty had constantly to Bee that there were not more than five persons abreast. The theory is that after all tho child waa not murdered, but died a natural denth, and that to avoid funeral expenses her body was taken at night into a lonely road and abandoned. The corpse is placed in a small bed chair, and has the waxerilook that refrigeration gives. More.t_u*ra 150,000 persons have passed- before1'" M/----without anyone coming forward to identify it.
