In justice to what ho considers thehard-workingandablebody of men, he now, on reflection, substitutes the word "imperfect" for "wretched," and adds that ho believos tho imperfection, when it arises, is mostly attributable to the reporters being unable, owing to his position in the House, to corroctly catch all he sayp. The Treasurer's retraction is halm to the wounded spirits of " Hansard " reporters, Sheep Conference Mr J. D. Lanco.
