Tauranga School Committee.
The Chairman Not In Sympathetic Accord.

Tauranga, this day. At the meeting of the School Committeeyesterday afternoon the chairman acted in a most peculiar manner. Ho announced that the meeting would adjourn until further notice. The rea-on of this was, apparently, because a resolution to oust him was being proposed. He retired, and Mr Home was elected in his place, and the business proceeded. The following motion was carried-—"ln order that the decision'arrived at by the Committee to enforce the compulsory clauses of the Education Act ' may be properly carried out, it is desirable", that the Chairmanship be held by one who . is in accord with it on this matter."
