FOOTBALL.
The Wellington-Sydney Match.

Wellington, this day. Tim Sydney Football Toam arrived this afternoon at 1 o'clock by the s.s. Rotorua. Thoy were mot by the local team and a large number of footballers, and were driven to the Occidental Hotel. Tho weather promises to bo fine for tho match, which will be played at Newtown to-morrow afternoon. The ground will be in good condition, provided thero is no moro rain.
The football matches to be played tomorrow between Ponsonby and Gordon snd Nelson and Waitemata will decide tho senior and junior cups. The proceeds will be devoted to the Benevolent Society funds, and therefore a charge of sixpence will be made, and on this occasion ladies will also be charged, as well as players not in uniform. Impey's band will be in attendance. Eutrance to the grandstands will bo chirged for.
As tho Auckland Football Club will have no match for to-morrow, the following members are requested to turn up at Dilworth's paddock to take part in a scratch game, viz. : —Armstrong, Beveridge, Bond, Carter, Coleman, Cranch, Henderson, Kniyht, Moginie, O'Connor, Perm, Rochr, Stewart, F. Williams, Annefct, Carmichael, Wright, Webster, Jones, F. Moore, Twemloe, Johnstone, Kissling, Waters, Clould(-), Russel 1 , J- Johnstone, Parker, Lusk, Smi:h, McKtnzie, Palk, King, ivlarriner, Cheeseman, Brophy, Sanderson, Bailey (2). Moore (2), Holly, Keatß, Wilstead, Reoves, Barton, Solomon, J- Brennan, Clark, McDermott, O'Hare, Collins and Randall.
