Professor Black's Evidence. TIMARU, tliis day. Peofissob Black was the only witness examined in the Hall case to day up to tho luncheon adjournment, and his evidence was to the effect that he had analysed the contents of the bottles sent to him. Jn the vomit and urino he found antimony! and in powder fonnd in Uall'e pocket at tho time of hie arrost he found tartar emetic. The ice-water submitted to him did not contain antimony. The bottles sent by Dr. MoIntyre through the poet to Dunedin had been analysed. Thoy contained excreta and traces of antimony wero found iv them. Dr. O. Gisbon assisted Boveral of the analyses. Professor Black's examination in chief lastod only a short time, but Mr Joynt cross-examined him at great length by the professor having to explain all the stages of his analysis which seems to have been thoroughly exhausted.
