Eden Star Miustrels.

THE performance givon by the Eden Star Minstrel- last evening, in the City Hall, in aid of AVidow Laing and family, was a capital one. There was not such a large attendance as the objects of tho entertainment warranted, but the hall was fairly filled. >'o fewer than seventeen members of the company took part in the chair performance, while the circle possessed eight I-ornor men. An excellent orchestra contributed in no small degroo 10. the success of this portion of the entertainment. Mr Horace Dean acted as conversationalist, with .Messrs C. Weedon, C. James, W. Doyle, and J. Maken as bones, and Messrs C. V, lute, Or. Armstrong, C. Howio, aud C. Annett as lambus. The "gag" was the weakest part 01 the prograSme, and had it not been lor the repetition of the jokes by Mr Dean, who was the life and soul of the company, the point of many of them would have been lost to the audience.
