Three thousand people wero present. Canterbury kicked off. In the first live minutes Allan, by a brilliant paas to Millar, gave him a flying shot at the goal, which he miasod, through not sufliciontly allowing for the wind. At tho end of the spell Can terbury had boon forced down twice, and Dunedin once. Thero was no score, and the match was drawn.
