LAMENTABLE BOAT ACCIDENT.
Blenheim, this day. A boat accident occurred yesterday at Havelock. Siv boyewentrishing, and tho boatcapgizod, throwing its occupants into tho water. With difficulty all got hold of the bout,, but wero several times washed off. After a timo, two of tho boys, Charles and Herbert Buthorford, aged 12 and 11 respectively, disappeared, and were soon no more. There is little hope of recovering the bodies The remaining four were rescued when almost exhausted by a passing boat. Charles Matthews, aged 13, saved his little brothor, aged 5, in a very commendable way by keeping him out of the water on his back until assistance arrived In thia ho was assisted by James Kuthorford, a brother of tho lads drowned. Tho lads wore in the water one hour.
