Messrs Vaii.e and Bradley report of prices obtained for poultry and produce sold at their weekly sale, held yesterday:—Spring chicks, 10d to Is 3d each; common fowls, 2s to 3s Id each; young ducks. Is Id to Is tkl each: broods chicks, 2s lid to Js; young geese, 3s each; young pigs, suckers, Cs tid to 8s 6d; young pig 3, stores, 5s to «s; onions, Id; potatoes, kidneys, Ss 6d; potatoes. Hobart, 3s 9d; green peas, Ijd per lb; oats, 2s 6d; fowl wheat, 3s Id; oaten straw, chart, £3 to £3 10s per ton; cherries, Ji'd to 6jd per lb; plums, Mto 9|d per lb; Waikato peaches, Is to Is Uβ per dozen; ham, second quality, sd; bacon, tkl; very inferior, Jd to 2Jd per lb; flour, second quality, 8s per lOOlhs; tea, 17s to 18s per box; condensed milk, Milkman brand, (is per dozen; biscuits, lid to old per lb: oatmeal, Id to lid per lb. 'Messks Carbines and Taylors yesterday's weekly sale of poultry, produce, etc., was largely attended, and they report having done fair business. The following prices were obtained:— Poultry: Fat table fowls, 2s to 2s 6d each ; ordinary-sized, Is 2d to Is9d; chicks, 8d to Is; ducks, Is Id to 2s; turkeys, fis 9d: young geese, 2s 9d; small pigs. 6s to 10s Gd; extra small and very inferior breed, 3s to Js 6d; pigeons, 10d; canaries, Ss; hens with brood of chicks, 3s 9d to os; rabbits, 9d to Is. Produce: Potatoes, £2 to £4 5s per ton; peas, 7d per peck; onions, Jd to Id perlb; beef, Id; comlilioney, 3d to4d; bacon, 2.U1 to 6d; hams.
