AVellinoton, this day. To-day is obsorvod as a close holiday on account of tho Friendly Society's demon stration. A procession consisting of repre. eontativos from Wairnrapn, Nelson, Wanganui, Christchurcb, Blenboim, and Wellington, to tho number of about 3,000, paraded this morning, nnd proceeded to the Basin Reserve, whore sports aro being hold. The woather is beautifully tine.
