Tho dimsnsioas of tha vessel are :— Length of heel, sSft; leneih overall. C9tt.; beam, moulded, 16 t.; dmth of hold, 6ft. Gin. She is constructed on a handsome model, and should prove a rapid sailer. Tho Umber used is of the best classes, t*e frame be»K of pohutakawa. ajfd tbe planking of kauri. The vessel is strongly put toeethsr. being double fastened with copper. Tke mrgo spice is apparently adequate for all requirements, and there is a capacions after cabin. The vessel has been schooner rigged, and in every other particular m»du ready for sea. She will leave this port for the inlands about tho end of this week, ballasted, and in charge of Captain O'tlyan. The name nt the schooner is the '• Nelu." The launch provel a v ry siicoesaful one, and took place shortly after 8 a.m.. tho christening coremony beingpotrnsted to a little daughter of the builder.
