At a committee meeting of the Auckland Ironworkers' Association held last evening, the Chairman called the attention of the meeting to the fact that Mr Quick had been _ appointen to go to England and America to purchase machinery and fittings for steamboats to be constructed for the new Auckland and North Shore Ferry Company. He asked for an expression of opinion on the mafter. The matter was well discussed and it was resolved that a vote of censure be passed upon the Company for taking the work out of the colony when so many men' were out of employment here.
