The New Zealand Shipping Company's s.s. Aorangi which is expected here about Juue 23, has 172 Government immigrants, of which 71 are booked for this pou. We ate indebted to Mr O. Mays, Immigration Officer, for the list, which is as follows :—

Trades and occupations of the above are given as follows : —General servants, 7 ; labourers, 5 ; cooks, 2; shoemaker, 1; housemaid, 1 ; housekeeper, 1; tailor, 1; salesman, 1 ; weaver, 1; iron shingler, 1. The summary shows —Married couples, 3 ; single men, 11; singlo women, 27 ; children, 29. The immigrants for Southern ports are as follows:—For Canterbury, 30; flawke's Bay, 7; Invercargill, 1; Marlborough, 1; Nelson, 2; Otago, 9 ; Taranaki, 11 ; Wellington, 22; Westland, 10. The total for ull ports is 172, equal to 138 statute adults.
