London, April 18.—Consols have further advanced by* an eighth, and arc now at 97J ; Now Zealand securities remain at last quotation, and there are no changes to roport in colonial produce London Wool Sales. The March-April series of wool sMes closes today, the total quantity sold being 180^000 bales ; 42,000 are held over for next auctions. Prices generally cloßed a halfpenny to a penny lower, except for croasbreds, which have advanced by a halfpenny to a penny compared with closing rates of the January-February auctions. The third series of sales open on Juno 4. Now Stoamsr tor Victoria. The sugar crop has been to a largo extent improved by the recent rains. Tho stock of sugar in hand if 25.C00 tons, and the exports this season to New Zealand amount to 7,000.
