Scottish papers received by last mail state that Lord Breadalbane and other influential personages are raising a fund for the benefit of the oppressed Skye crofters, and that liberal contributions thereto are being received from various quarters. This fund will be devoted to the defence of the crofters against legal prosecutions, as well as for the payment of the passages o* Buch families as may be disposed to emigrate to the colonies.
