A Suspicious Fire.
Carterton, this day.—adoui i_:.ou on Thursday night, nno of tho largo produce stores on the Pastoral Society's grounds was discovered to be on firo, and was soon consumed. After the alarm, a Scandinavian was seen coming from the fire, and was arrested. Prisoner etates that ho was shown there to sleep by tho landlord of the White He rt, and the lire awoko him. He wo_ proceeding to givo tho alarm When arrested, The building was insured for £50.
