Further Intelligence lias been received allowing that Khartoum foil on the 26th of January.
Sir Charles Wilson, with a detachment of tho Royal Sussex Regiment, arrived at Khartoum by steamer from Metemnoh on the 2Sth ult.
He found the city occupied by the enemy, and he forthwith returned, but under a heavy fire from tho river banks.
Tho steamer was afterwards wrecked below tho Sbehukli Cataract.
All on board were saved, and landed at an island, from which a steamer bad been sent to their rescue-
