London, January 24. Intense excitement has been caused here by a daring and well-planned attempt to damaco the Houso of Parliament and the Tower of London by dynamito explosions.

Early this afternoon the fust explosion occurred, dynamite having been lodged in tho first crypt under Westminster Hall. Tho windows of the hall were smashed by the concussion, and a largo hole was made in tho floor. Two policemen and some visitors who were present wore seriously

injured,

A few minutes later a second explosion occurred, the spot being under the Strangers' Gallery, in the House of Commons. The western end of tho Chamber was completely wrecked by the force of the explosion. One person who is suspected of having caused tho explosion was arrestod on tho Bpot.

Tho third explosion occurred about the same timo, tbo scene being at the White Tower of the Tower of London. Numerous visitors were present at the time, and four poisons wero severely injured. The windows in tho neighbourhood were broken, and tho buildingg sustained considerable damage.
