Mr Milner Stephen!-Another Wonderful Cure of Cancer I (To the Editor of the Star.)

Sir.—May I beg the favour of your publishing the following testimonial of another wonderful cure of cancer by mo, with the solemn declaration of Mrs Hervld, made before His Worship the Mayor? It Is the only reply I shall condescend to make to the ill-natured letter of the Rev. C. Carter in your Saturday's issue respecting the " very slight improvement" his ear had received at my hands, as I have already answered his duplicato letter In yeßterday s " Herald." A candid public will then judge for themselves whether it is reasonable to doubt the healing power of a man who can, by placing his hands upon a sufferer, and that in the presence of 160 spectators, instantly relieve her of all pain, and enable her to get rid of an lmmonse swelling, pronounced a Cancer by eleven doctors. Mrs Hervld will to-morrow evenlncattend thepublic healing at Bt. James's Hall, with other patients who have been cured in public—l am, &c. G. Milner Stephen. Lower Symonds-street, Deotmber 3,1881. Auckland, in tho Colony of New Zealand (to wit). I, Mary Ann Hervid, wife of Jeremiah Hervld, of Groy-strcot, Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand, labourer, do solemnly and sinooroly declare that the annexed paper writing, marked respectively 1, 2, 3, i, . and 0, contains a true and faithful account of all the facts and occurrences thorein Bet forth, the samo having boen now reod over to mo In the presence of His Worship the Mayor of Auckland, aforesaid; and I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of an act of the Gonoral Assembly of Now Zealand, entitled "Tho Justices of the Poace Act, 1882." Mart Ann (x, her mark) Hervid. Declared at Auckland, New Zealand, this third day of December, 1881 (the same having first been read over to the said Mary Ann Hervid), before me. (Bd.) W. R. Wadoel, Mayor of Auckland and J.P. of Now Zealand.

[To the Editor of tho Evening Star.l Sir,—l and my husband are vory sorry to read in your paper that anyone should not believe in Mr Milner Stephen's cures. I am willing to swoar before a Magistrate that what I say is truth. I have hod a cancer in tho stomach for about 18 months, and as many as eleven doctors have attended me. without any good. At lost I went to Mr Milner Stephen, who took away my vlolont pain at once. 1 havo been three times to tho public healing, and three or four times to Mr Stephen's private room in Overn Lodge, Symondsstroot, and I have found myself better and better each time, and I believe I am cured of that dreadful •dlsoase. It was tho doctors who all said I had cancer, so I belioved them. lam much smaller now than I was, as the lump hos gono away. Before I came to Mr Milner Stephen I could not keep food on my stomach, and was so weak I could hardly walk. Now I can eat what I could not look at before, and my food keeps down. My husband has had a bad leg for more than nine years, and suffered dreadful pain. He was a month in the Hospital at Exeter, in England, and got a little better, but he did not lose the pain, and the sore broke out afrosh. He bos been very bad now for many weeks, and only worked a day now ond then with groat difficulty. Ho wanted to go into the Auckland Hospital, but was told they could not cure him, so he did not go in, but had a lotion given to him, which did not relieve him. He went to tho public healing three weeks ago, and Mr Milner Stephen took away his pains entirely, and he has not hod them since. He is now using magnetised salve, and believes he will soon be quite well and able to work again. Ido not know what I should havo done to pay my rent and buy food for the post three weeks but for Mr Milner Stephen's kind help. My neighbour, Mrs Nertny, who went to the noil lost night to be treated for rheumatism, asked me this morning to thank Mr Stephen for curing her, as she could cut bread for her breakfast to-day, which she has been unable to do for the last three weeks. The Rev. Mr Tebbs, of St. Matthew's, our minister, gave us a letter of recommendation to Mr Milner Stephen, and knows the truth of all I have stated.—l am, &c, Mrs Jeremiah Hrrvid. Grey-street, Anokland, November 29,1681.
