Stables Burned Down.
> New Plymouth, this day.—TheTaranaki "Herald" special reporter, who accomEanied the Hon. Mr Ballance round the oaet, wires from Opunake that the stables at Prosser's Hotel were burnt down this morning at 2 o'clock. Nine horses were in it, but all were got out. The building was not insured. . Mr BaUance's Tour. . 1 The Native Minister left for Hawera this morning. The wet yesterday prevented Mr Ballance seeing_ much of the country, and he did not visit Parihako. He was deputationed at Opunake relative to harbour and roads. . -
