Shocking 111-Treatment of a Horse.
CAMimmoE, this day.—A frightful case of unintentional cruelty has just been brought under the notice of the police. A horse wan put in a truck -at Auckland on Saturday morning, consigned to a man named Baxter at Fen Court, On arrival at Fen Court, the truck was shunted on-to a siding, and through some oversight or carelessness the horse was locked up in the truck all night on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday without food or water and unable to lie down. The police are investigating the matter.
