Napikr, this day.—W. J. Harker, commission agent, who made himself somewhat prominent as an agitator during last elections, met his creditors yestereay. Tho total amount of liabilities shown is £1,676, of which £1,140 wore incurred since July. The assets are s^ted at about £800. The creditors called oh Harker to file. . ■< . '
A memorial against the removal pf Major Scully, Inspector of Police, is being signed by nearly every adult male in the town.
BiiENHEisi, this day;—A boy five years old, son of the master of the schooner Onward, loading at Kaiuka, in the Sounds, near Havelock, was' drowned yesterday. He was last seen fishing off a punt. The body has not yet been recovered.
