Curious Career of a Bigamist.

At Worship-street Police Court, London, a few weeks ago, a respectable- looking woman, dressed in the attire of a widow in' mourning, and having with her a little boy,! said she had como to seek advico as to tho conduct of her husband. About 10 years ago he left home to proceed upon foreign* gorvice in the army. Two years passed by,' and as nothing was heard of him, .she wrote to the War Office, and then received, intelligence that it; was believed her hus-' band had died abroad. She, therefore, concluded that this was the case. Elour years ago, however, she was in a fashion*! able part of London, when she saw a man enter a house with a woman, and ilia fancied the man was her lost husband. Not being sure of this, and having no means of ascertaining the fact, she had since liveij in the belief that her husband was dead. Nothing transpired to cause her to doubt this, until the week previous to this, when she saw him again, and followed him. She* saw him enter, a "beautiful house," and having now satisfied herself that he wasi her husband, she mado up her mind to go to the house. She took her two children with her the next day, and forced hen way into the house. Here she found " a Jady/' who, she supposed, was married to her husband, and a scene took place, "the lady"< eventually ejecting them from tho place, throwing one of the children bodily into the road. The applicant said she did not then see her husband in the house, but Was sura he went into it on the previous day. Afterwards she made inquiries about tlia same neighbourhood,, and the result of these was that she could say with*' out fear that her husband had, since he left her, ten years ago, married tv?q other women, and was now living with hid third wife, She had been to several churche*, and had discovered the registers proving the two bigamous marriages, an^i she wished, to prosecute him for bigamy.-—: The magistrates granted a warrant for thY man's arrest, " f $ '
