Thh following matches wero played on the Domain Ground on Saturday afternoon :—

Auckland v. West End.—The Auckland Uam, which had 7 wickets down for 176 on the previous Saturday, continued the innings, which closed for 205. Cossan carried his bat for 60, Robinson was caught by King, off Lynch, after getting 10 ; Blair was bowled by Reid for 1, while Thistle was bowled by Lynch for 0. West End then went in, and made 129 for the loss of eight wickets. Roid, b Stafford, 12; Lawry, b Benton, 20 ; Thwaites, not out, 19; and Lynch, caught by Robinson, off Mathoson, 13. beiug tho highest scorers. The others were as follow:— Brook, 6 j King, 4; Arneil, 2; Taylor, 7 ; Renner, 1; Young, not out, 2. Unitkd v. Gordon.—This match was remarkable for tho somewhat eonsational butting performances of those of tho United pen who woro fortunate enough to cot an inninge. United wont in first, and hud only lost one wicket for 109 runs, when the stumps wero drawn. Yates was smartly caught by Williams at mid-on after making 92, while Testro, 73, and W. Lankham, 28, both carried their bats out. The match will bo resumed next Saturday.

■ Odr Boys v. Newton.—This match resulted in favour of Our Boys on the first inninge, although when time was called Newton had 8_ wickets to fall and only 30 runs to get in order to win. Our Boys made 111 in tho first innings, W. George contributing 26, G. Walker 22, Hill 21, W. Swanson (not out) 18, and R. Whiteside 11. There wao, however, a collapse in their second innings, tho score only amounting to 30, of which J. Hill made 17, not out. The bowling of T. Mills and Pritchard was excellent. Newton made99in thoir first innings, and lost two wickets for 22 in the second. Colgan, lbw, 25 j Mills, caught, 22; and W. Hobson, lbw, 2?, wero tho highest scorer?. National v. I'arnbll 2nd.— Parnell was lucky in getting this match off as a draw. National made 164, of which F. Wrigley contributed 77, W. Wrigloy 33, and F. Waters 20. Parnell 2nd had lost 7 wickets for 19 when time was called.

Zinoaiu Second v. Gasworks.— Zingari won by S2 runs. Gasworks only made 35, Thomas being the highest scorer w th 9. Zingari put together Jl7—McKenzie, not out, getting 20, Chatfield 11, Snodgrass 10, Fisher 16, Milner 17, and Poulsen 11.

\Vest End 11. v. Avondale.—This match resulted in an easy win for tho former. West End scored 95—Gamble 29, Baker 13, being the only double-figure scorers, while Avondalo made 22. The bowling of Verney and Donald proved to be very effective, Verney taking 6 wickets for 7, Donald taking 4 wickets for 10. Franklin v. Holland's.—This match was won by the Franklin Cricket Club by 8 runs, the totals being Holland's 47, Franklin 55. For the victors, H. Nightingale, with 17, not out, batted well, whilst Stemeon took 7 wicketb at a small cost.

Goedon Second v. United Second. —This match resulted in an easy wiD for the Gordon 2nd, by 73 runs. C. Harvey, 20, made half the United 2nd score, while owing to the good bowling of D. Meldrum and H. Goulstone, 7 of them did not score at all, the last 7 wicketa being got for 6 runs. Meldrum got 6 wickets for 17 runs, while Goulstsne, who did the hat trick, obtained 4 wickets for 17 runs. For the Gordon Ryburn, 27 ; Stevens, 2'l; Wood, 15; Clayton, 13; and Goulstone, 11, each played well for their run". Eton v. Carlton. —This match resulted in a victory for tho Eton by 9 runs, the scores beine Carlton 48, Eton 57. The top scores were!} Bennett, 17, and Clarke, 11, for the Eton, while Eavers did best for Carlton.

Alma v. Grammar School.—This match resulted in a victory for the former by 112 runs. For the Alma, Suiter (46), Elley (38), and Slayter (37), were the principal scorers. ROSEBERUY V. COCSINS AND ATKIN's.— The former won by 24 runs. Roseberry mado 62, and Cousins and Atkin'e 38.
