The Protest Against Rufus.
Mkuiourms, Friday.—The inquiry held at Adelaide into the protest lodged against Hufus for the V.R.C. Derby has Bhown that the horse was correctly nominated by the OWJieF.
Tho jumping horse Sir Garnet was offered for pale at Buckland's today, but £27 being the best bid, he was withdrawn.
B. Tonks and Co. sold tho privileges of the Takapuna Races today. No. 1 booth, £15; No. 2, £9—purchaser of both, Mr Pitta. Grand Stand booth. £s—Mr Evans, Tho gatos were bought in by the Club.
